Counter-balanced loom

A complete tie-up for a counter-balanced loom (figures 17 and 18; the drawing shows the variation in figure 18). The horses and pulleys hang on adjustable connections (F), the shaft bars are attached with permanent connections (C, D), the lamms with B and C, and the treadles with adjustable connections (G). The pegged connections F and G adjust in 12 mm steps: level the shafts once, and later adjustments are a matter of moving a peg.
