Permanent connections A to E
The five permanent Texsolv connections, A to E, for attaching cord to shafts, lamms and treadles.

Connections A to E are made once and left in place. A: around a round beam, with the cord passed through its own loop. B: the same around a flat bar or lath. C: through a hole in a bar, the end pulled through its own loop (ALT shows an alternative). D: on a hook or screw eye, or around the end of a bar. E: two cords joined by pulling one through a loop of the other.
Use a permanent connection wherever the cord attaches to a fixed part of the loom that never needs adjusting: shaft bars, lamm ends, treadle eyes. The adjustable end of the same cord is then made with one of connections F to I.
